Fantastic Antique Old Vintage Mid Century Modern Abstract Cubist Oil Painting

  
This is a very cool and Fantastic Antique Old Vintage Mid Century Modern Abstract Cubist Oil Painting on canvas, depicting a wonderful abstract scene, with geometric shapes, cubistically rendered in bold colors of red, gray, blue and black. Some of the shapes vaguely resemble lava lamps, and this piece would obviously be displayed proudly and appropriately next to some tall mid-century lava lamps. Signed: "Favre" in the lower right corner. This piece approximately dates to the 1950's - early 1960's. Approximately 29 1/4 x 35 inches including frame. Actual artwork is approximately 22 x 28 inches. Very good condition for age, with some light scuffing and edge wear to the original period frame. This stunning painting would be the centerpiece and tour-de-force of any tasteful Mid Century Modern home or office setting.
