Vintage 1960s Mid-Century Modern Arc Adjustable Atomic Dome Eyeball Orb Shade Pole Floor Lamp Underwriters Laboratories Portable Lamp Issue #L-8514, E-47936. Materials: brass, chrome, metal, enamel, iron base. This is a very cool fabulous vintage mid-century modern chrome 1960s eyeball orb floor lamp.

This great-looking lamp has a chrome finish and is attached to a metal base. It measures about 57" tall, 13" deep, and 32 wide. The orb shade is 7" wide and 6" deep. The shade/dome head of the lamp is fully adjustable and swivels on a brass connection in different positions for better illumination (see photos). It holds its position perfectly. This collector's iconic vintage-modern design lamp is in very good vintage condition-shiny and beautiful. It is all original with the exception that the bulb socket was replaced in November 2022 with a. Socket, and it now works like new. The cord is original and doesn't appear to have any cracks or brittleness and is in good condition. On close inspection it shows. Light surface scratches, corrosion in one small area near the orb edge. And general wear, but nothing particularly outstanding. Where the cord comes out of the pole see photo. It fits but easily comes out. This great lamp comes from a smoke free home, has been cleaned and polished with Brasso cleaner and is ready to use. It is a perfect size to put next to a reading chair or credenza/console. This lamp would also look fantastic matched with a vintage lounge chair and ottoman, or add the perfect touch of vintage glamour in a bedroom or living room.
