This fire engine red Preway cone fireplace is in excellent condition and all original. It is complete with both original stove pipes and dome safety screen. The inside of the fireplace is extremely clean and there is very little soot built up inside the stacks. The enamel is in great condition, but does have two large chips in the back (2" x 2" and 1" x 1") and some others along the rear seam and joints.

If mounted against a wall as pictured, you wouldn't see the larger chips. There is also some micro-cracking in the enamel which is caused by heat and is a normal result of use. I tried to show this in photo #7. The screen is pretty beat up and has been patched together in places, but is perfectly functional and really doesn't impair the overall beauty of the design.

The legs on this fireplace are vintage hairpin legs that were probably affixed sometime later in the 70s. This is a highly collectible mid-century modern cone fireplace which is a fantastic accompaniment to your Eames, Panton, Saarinen, etc furniture. It makes any room feel special and warm, and is an exquisite centerpiece to build around.
