This brass lamp is beautiful and heavy. There is a marble base to give it stability, and the three brass bars hold the torchiere.

Overall, the brass is awesome, shiny as it should be and provides three brightness options. There are spots of patina and some smoothed by cleaning.

The brass part of the base has some light pitting, and there are two areas where you can see that the copper undercoat fades in and out on the base, as shown. There are some small dings and light scratches, but regardless of these small detractions, the overall greatness of this lamp remains. What a beautiful lamp that is truly a period statement piece.

The knob on the underside of the lights looks purely decorative, but with one twist one light comes on, with another twist a second, and with another the third. It has the original wiring and functions as it should. Zoom in on the pictures as they are my best descriptors.
