But one of the nicest cosmetically that I've ever seen. To address the function: The clock face spins freely, as does the clock mechanism/movement. Subsequently the clock arms spin freely as well as they are attached to the clock movement.

Did put a battery in to check anyway, and no go. Movement does have the ELGIN sticker. The elusive second hand is still there, but looks like it's been bent and straightened a few times, but still intact. STILL a beautiful example of a Mid Century ELGIN Starburst wall clock. Measures 30.5 from tip to tip.

Not certain what kind of wood the rays are made from, Walnut or Teak? Surface rust on any of the orbs or wood rays was hard to find, but inspected and found at least three of the smallest spots. One ray has some on the back side.

At least two of the orbs have small spots. Looked as best I could, so if I missed any it's because they were just hard to find.

On the bottom inside you will find some surface rust. Looks that previous owner left the battery in longer than they should, and acid dripped. Could be cleaned, removed and sealed to prevent future surface issues. All nuts and washers will be reattached to individual arms, and arms each wrapped individually.
