This beautifully hand made, camphor-lined, teak chest was made in Denmark, circa late 50's. High levels of artistry & craftsmanship resonate throughout this compact, timeless chest. The overall condition is excellent; Clean, Sound, & without expected age-commensurate detractions. The elegant, spare design form is elevated by subtle campaign-styled brass hardware combined w/incredible tones & grain of the contrasting woods. Originally made as a footlocker chest for the dress uniform of a Danish Royal Navy Officer, this bespoke beauty is completely lined w/fresh, intact, original camphor-insuring service as a blanket, sweater or linen chest.
